Jude Browning is an artist working across performance, video, and drawing, exploring feminist and anarcho-mystical histories through archival research and collaboration. Their practice interrogates the politics of who is granted publicness and how credibility is constructed, weaving connections between transhistorical narratives—from the radical voices of the 17th-century Ranters to contemporary feminist and queer thought. Jude’s work engages with themes of displacement, sexuality, labour, and resource extraction, examining their impact on the present through a historical lens. Based in Glasgow, they founded the interdisciplinary performance series At Practice at David Dale Gallery. Currently a Teaching Fellow at ECA, their recent projects have been supported by Hospitalfield, Cone Shape Press (San Francisco), and CCA Derry~Londonderry.
